This option is a great enhancement of current Caller-ID and SPF anti-spam methods. SMTP server in Kerio Connect 8.0 can be now configured to require user authentication when accepting email from a sender with email domain defined in Kerio Connect. Existing PTR DNS entry is a vital requirement for normal SMTP servers used for sending emails. This option improves efficiency of spam filtering by rejecting the SMTP connections from bot-nets or infected computers.

To enable it, go to the Greylisting tab in Spam Filter settings of the Kerio Connect Administration. Email sent from the whitelisted IP addresses is delivered immediately. The service creates a whitelist of valid sender IP addresses.
When Greylisting is enabled, Kerio Connect makes the service decide whether or not to accept incoming email. To alleviate the issue, we created a Greylisting cloud service.
